Raymond D. Jorgensen, Ph.D.

Director of the Jorgensen Leadership Center

Ray spent thirty years in America’s private and public schools as a teacher, coach, department head, collegiate faculty member and school administrator. Today he provides leadership development consultative services to a variety of public and private organizations and coaches the internal JLC leader consultants. Along the way to designing, implementing and directing JLC, Ray received a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from St. Francis College in Brooklyn, N.Y. and a Master of Science in math from Fordham University in the Bronx. After moving to Florida, he continued his studies at Nova University and the University of South Florida to receive post masters certifications in Administration, Supervision, and Leadership. His doctoral dissertation at USF focused on Learning Organizations and organizational change.


Dr. Andrea Bernstein

JLC Associate

Dr. Andrea Bernstein is a leadership development consultant and coach based in Los Angeles, CA. She served as the Director of the State Farm California Leadership Academy from 2001 through 2008. In this capacity she directed the development and delivery of a leadership development curriculum based on emotional intelligence. The program was designed to help all levels of leadership from front line supervisors to senior executives maximize business results and improve their leadership impact through greater self-awareness, self-management and social awareness. Andrea has facilitated organizational improvement programs with senior leadership teams, provided individual coaching to managers, executives and high-potential leaders, and facilitated 360º feedback sessions. Besides her extensive classroom experience, she has designed and facilitated action learning programs for high-potential leaders.

She is a highly regarded facilitator and coach and feedback from participants in programs she has facilitated and from coaching clients has been consistently enthusiastic.

Current interests include facilitating empowerment workshops for the homeless in Santa Monica and membership of the Board of Trust of the P.E.A.C.E. Foundation, which aims to provide disadvantaged communities in Southern Africa with tools and information to facilitate their own development, and, in so doing, to improve their educational and economic standards.

Prior to immigrating to the United States, Dr. Bernstein had 20 years experience teaching social work students and was Professor and Head of the Department of Social Work at the University of Natal, Durban, South Africa. Responsibilities included executive management of two community-based non-governmental organizations. Courses taught included the development of self-awareness and interpersonal practice courses and design and delivery of an anti-racism training program targeted at empowerment, leadership development and individual and group competencies at a time when the university was integrated but the government policy of apartheid had prevented students of different races from working together.

Dr Bernstein has run her own consulting practice, providing coaching in writing and presentation skills for South African, Scandinavian and Israeli students and academics in fields including business management and organizational psychology. She published extensively in South African and international journals, was the co-author of a social work text adopted for use in all South African schools of social work, and presented research papers at a number of international conferences.


Colleen Sullivan

JLC Associate

For the past 15 years Colleen has been instrumental in developing, creating and enhancing business systems and infrastructure for many companies across the country. She has consulted with State Departments of Education, Universities, executives, entrepreneurs and teams to accelerate their effectiveness, sustain organizational vitality and optimize leadership performance. Through facilitating conversations, she has identified and built upon existing competencies moving clients towards desired personal and professional outcomes.

Colleen’s educational background includes a Bachelors of Science in Government, as well as a Master’s Degree in Education. This paved the way for her many accomplishments, including National Speaking Engagements as well as special invitations to key State leadership committees.

As a learning facilitator with the Jorgensen Leadership Center, a company which specializes in effectively increasing leadership capacity, she works to build stronger leaders at all levels. She has a powerful ability to facilitate groups and individuals to identify the root cause of a challenge and to increase their collective and individual capacity to create their desired outcome.  She incorporates leading edge disciplines and tools, including Conversational Leadership to foster sustainable change.
